Starting from Mohács, the route passes through Újmohács near the Danube floodplain, then after Sárhát it enters the regions of Felső-Bácska and the Homokhát Sand Ridge, following low-traffic rural roads. The area is mostly warm and dry, becoming moderately dry toward Bácska. The sand-ridge forests and sandy grasslands host rare protected plant species and rich wildlife. Toward Nagybaracska and Csátalja, the flat lowland scenery continues to dominate.
