Lets go to South!

We cycle on roads with little traffic, marked with the new white-green cycling route signs at the end of 2019. Tiszaföldvár lies on the northern edge of Tiszazug; its former wooden bridge was a strategic river crossing over the Tisza. The original settlement has experienced several periods of destruction and reconstruction and played an important role in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848/1849. We recommend trying the pleasantly small thermal baths in Cserkeszőlő; you should also be able to find accommodation in the surrounding area. Those who enjoy riverside areas should visit the sandy shore opposite the mouth of the Krzyża (Körös) River in Csongrád. It is 700 meters long and 30 meters wide and stretches from the eastern edge of the town to the river mouth. The sandy shore is a popular social spot during the summer months. The 25-27°C water and the hot sand create the illusion of a seaside. Here you can find everything you need for a holiday. Those who wish to stay longer can choose from a wide range of accommodations. You can eat quick meals at the buffets, and in the restaurants you can sample local specialties.
