The stage begins in Vác, where a ferry takes cyclists across the Danube to the right bank at Tahitótfalu. From here, the riverside route continues through Leányfalu and Szentendre, passing cafés, river beaches and small marinas. Leaving Szentendre, the well-established EuroVelo path leads through Óbuda and into Budapest, finishing the section along the riverside towards Buda.
