The EuroVelo 14 route from Hatvan to Mátrafüred begins on flat lowland terrain, gradually becoming more undulating as it approaches the foothills of the Mátra Mountains. Cyclists travel along quiet rural roads bordered by fields and open landscapes, with forested stretches appearing closer to the hills. The villages along the way offer a peaceful countryside atmosphere, while the surroundings near Mátrafüred transition into the characteristic shaded woodlands of the Mátra.
